book blurb

Wyatt Banks is ready to give one woman the world. Unfortunately, his job as a cop tends to interfere with other goals. When Wyatt is sent deep undercover to investigate a sex slave ring, he doesn’t have time to do anything but focus on staying alive in a dark and dangerous underworld.

Wyatt isn’t alone though in his quest to save the women that are being sold into sexual slavery.

His partner, FBI Agent Andrea Somerville, is immersed just as deeply as he is, and she’s the bait to lure the sex slavers out into the open, as she poses as an erotic dancer in an attempt to snare the enemy. But danger runs as high as the sparks between them, and now Wyatt is caught between the job he loves and the woman he wants.

***WITH A TWIST can be read as a stand-alone novel.***

about the author

Sawyer Bennett

sawyer bennettUSA Today Best-Selling author, Sawyer Bennett, is a snarky southern woman and reformed trial lawyer who decided to finally start putting on paper all of the stories that were floating in her head. She is married to a mobster (well, a market researcher) and they have two big, furry dogs who hog the bed. Sawyer would like to report she doesn’t have many weaknesses but can be bribed with a nominal amount of milk chocolate.

my review

4.5 Stars

The Last Call Series just keeps exceeding my expectations – it’s amazing!  Sawyer Benett’s stories and characters are intelligent, desirable and entertaining.  With a Twist has a darker criminal storyline and it was exciting to slide into the FBI’s investigation of the sex trade world.  I consumed page after page of Wyatt and Andrea’s story – I couldn’t put it down.

Both characters are working undercover in a strip club and it’s probably a place I would never enter willingly.  It’s seedy and oozing with nasty men that you want to avoid. However, I spent an amazing afternoon there and I suggest you do, too.

It is most definitely was because of Wyatt Banks. The more I read about him, the more Wyatt stole my heart.  He was an incredibly alluring man.  He’s living through a completely loathsome situation and pretending to be someone that disgusts him. Yet, he continues to find ways to stay true to his character and be a decent person.

The author balanced out Wyatt’s character with FBI agent Andrea Somerville.  She is at a crossroads in her life – her fiancé recently called off their wedding and her career is not moving in the direction she wants fast enough. But she was seriously badass – I loved her.  She will knock you out with her dedication and her ability to mold herself into what is needed for her job.  She is an admirable character and a strong female lead.

The intense passion and lust between Wyatt and Andrea is addicting.  There is nothing hotter than an alpha man meeting his mate and him devouring her.  Layered onto that is quick wit and smart banter.  With a Twist is a smart and sexy read, thanks to the two leads. You are cheering this couple on and want them to find their own happily ever after.

I truly enjoyed With a Twist’s plot and thought that these two new characters were a great addition to the series.  As always, Sawyer Bennett leaves you feeling satisfied with a complete story, but you cannot help but want more.  Her characters feel so real, it’s like going home and visiting friends.  I am already looking forward to the next installment, Shaken Not Stirred. I definitely recommend, With a Twist and all the other books in The Last Call series.
