“One Secret. Multiple Casualties.”
Everything Melody Callahan has ever been told about her past is a lie. Her father lied. Her husband lied. But like all secrets…they come out. Not only is her mother, Aviela, alive but she won’t stop until she tears down everything Liam and Melody have spent the past year building.
With a new target on their back and the media now focused on their family as the Presidential election approaches, Liam and Melody must fight on two battlefronts. Melody is torn between being in love with Liam and wanting to kill him for lying to her. Being in love and showing love are two different things in her world. Liam wants to do anything to protect his family even if that means hurting the people he loves.
Family is everything… but what happens when they’re out for your blood? Everything they have been through is nothing compared to what is coming…

5 Stars
I seek out dark, gritty mafia romance stories. I think they are enticing and suspenseful. Dramatic. Passionate. The characters involved are always so freaking bad ass and ferocious – savage. I love it. The Ruthless People series satisfies all if my cravings and I always want more from JJ McAvoy.
In the latest installment, The Untouchables, it often felt as though it was the Callahan family working against the world to survive. Battling against crazy, mother in-laws. Wives who think they know better and meddling in places they have no business. The law and it’s boundaries. Other criminals trying to make a name for themselves. The chaos all builds, leading up to an epic climax that leaves you dying for the last book.
I loved The Untouchables. I thought the plot moved at a breakneck speed – filled with so much drama and violence. It’s exciting. Yet it’s balanced out with one of my most favorite book couples, Liam and Melody. I am honestly never sure which moments between the two I enjoy more. Their sweet, emotionally unguarded scenes or when they are engaging in hot, angry sex.
But the Liam and Melody are just the icing on the top. The Ruthless People series is filled with dynamic characters that left me wanting a cigarette and I don’t even smoke. They are intense as well as challenging and disturbing. They are enticing and dangerous with all the power they possess and the control that they yield is hot.
With all that this plot entails, it is incredible that as a reader you don’t feel over-whelmed but you do not. Each character and scene draws you in.They are well written and thought out stories – addictive. I would most definitely recommend both books in this series.
