When the sun disappeared, the world was cast in shadows, hiding the evil that lay in wait. When it was dark, I hunted. The shadows caressed my body as I did things I could never do in the light of day.
Eighteen-year-old Bree Bowen has spent her entire life training and working as one of her father’s assassins. Fear has kept her and her best friend, Wes, under her father’s thumb—until now. When Wes takes matters into his own hands, securing Bree a new identity and a plane ticket to America, he gives her the one chance she’s been desperately seeking.
Learning to live a new life isn’t easy.
Add in her new roommate, Reid, who just happens to be a stripper, and things start to get a little crazy. Falling for a man has never been part of her plan, but she can’t seem to stay away from Reid.
When Bree’s past comes crashing back into her life, secrets that she’s fought to keep hidden are revealed, and she’s forced to choose between Reid and the life she could have with him, or Wes, the one man who has always loved her unconditionally. Regardless of her choice, she must learn the consequences of sin.
This book will be a standalone.
Author K.A. Robinson is the New York Times, USA Today, and Amazon best selling author of The Torn Series, the Ties Series, Breaking Alexandria, and Deception.
Oh my – The Consequences of Sin was intense. Captivating. I was on the edge of my seat, devouring each page to see how the plot unfolded. This latest release is a must read simply because it is not your typical love story. I loved it.
The drama and your anticipation continuously builds for all the characters and it feels like you’re on a roller coaster. You’re climbing toward that unavoidable first drop and when the world falls out from beneath your feet it’s a crazy ride. You knew what was coming but you’re still unprepared for all that K.A. Robinson has is store for you.
I don’t want to rehash the basic plot for you – the book blurb is pretty accurate. But what is does not prepare you for is how hot Reid and Bree are together. You feel the sexual tension and want to personally pop the bubble so that they get it on. You feel their connection so much so that you are rooting for and want the impossible for them – you want their love to survive.
And Wes…. He plays both a major and minor part in The Consequences of Sin. Once you meet him and experience him all you are thinking is – holy crap – does he have a book? Can he get a book? Please.
I have yet to read anything from this author that I have not enjoyed and shared with friends. The Consequences of Sin is an incredibly entertaining book and I highly recommend it.
