Win the game. Lose your heart.

Everyone knows who I am and that I could have any female fan I want. That’s supposed to be the “perk” of playing left field for the Boston Renegades. But I don’t want just any woman; I want her.

She should be just another face in the crowd, but I can’t stop thinking about the one night we spent together-and her look of regret the morning after.

Because Saylor Blackwell is the kind of woman who haunts a man. Smart, sexy as hell, and one of the best managers in the business. She’s every ballplayer’s dream woman. And I’d do anything to make things right with her.

I’m done sitting on the bench when it comes to Saylor Blackwell. Time to swing for the fences.

5 Stars

So I’ve read all of Heidi McLaughlin’s books and I honestly think that Grand Slam was one of my absolute favorites. It was captivating and intense. Charming and romantic. Funny and witty.
It was all this romantic goodness while dealing with a horrifying topic. I thought the storyline was incredible.

Travis is a baseball star and bit of a man whore. However, he’s also lonely.  He wishes that the one women he desperately wants, Saylor, would allow him to show her who he really is but their relationship is crazy complicated.

Saylor works for his PR company and the one rule of the business is ‘no dating our clients’. So no matter how attracted she is to him or how strong the connection is that she feels towards Travis – she has to put her child’s needs (and thus her job) first. The one time she didn’t it, her decision was the catalyst to events that almost destroyed her career.

However, Saylor and Travis cannot fight their feelings – no matter how much they need to.  And thank goodness!!  These two together are beyond amazing.  They leave you this ooey-gooey mess of happiness.  I loved getting to know them and experiencing them falling in love.

Yet, I think the best part of Grand Slam is that their romance and courtship was engaging and addictive alone (I could spend days with these two) but the author layered their love story with two very intense and captivating subplots. Both of which are overwhelming and realistic but without any easy answers to solve them.  It’s what makes the book a must read recommendation from me.

Grand Slam was about so much than Saylor and Travis falling in love.  Their journey was about finding your soulmate and realizing that you’re way better as a team that individuals. It’s a courtship filled with overwhelming hurdles and bumps in the road.  It was the most enchanting and romantic books I’ve read. I was completely smitten by duo and I cannot suggest meeting then enough. Get your copy today!
