Arrogant.

Womanizer.

Sexy as hell.

These are all words that have been used to describe my best friend. They might be true, but to me, he’s just Cole Calloway. The one person who has always been there. Now it’s my turn to reciprocate. Coming off an injury, Cole needs me. I won’t let him down.

It’s easy to fall back into old habits with friends, but with Cole something is different. He’s different with me. The touches are gentler. His eyes linger on me.  There’s something there that wasn’t before. My heart flutters just a little too much every time I look at him. What’s the worst that could happen if I stopped overthinking and just let go?

Hard Ball is a friends to lovers novella which is a quick, sexy read that you will absolutely adore.  It is the perfect book to pick up your day and make you smile.

Cole is a major league ball player and Makenzie is his best friend studying to be a physical therapist. Normally, they’re close friends whose lives interact but it’s usually over the phone, not in person.

That all changes when Cole injures himself. Suddenly, Mak is at his side and they’re both feeling strong emotions (aka lust) and being in one another’s arms feels right but making that decision would absolutely change the state of their friendship. It was a slightly predictable plot but wicked fun to experience none the less!!

My only complaint was that a few times the details completely changed and the timelines seemed a bit sketchy which made me want to cringe. (Please hate my OCD and not my review – I can’t help it!!) I struggled a few times but there was so much to love about Hard Ball that I was willing to over look a few of the hiccups I noticed in the storyline.

So don’t miss out on Hard Ball, it’s  a romance definitely worth checking out.
