You could say Brooke Blaine was a book-a-holic from the time she knew how to read; she used to tell her mother that curling up with one at 4 a.m. before elementary school was her ‘quiet time.’ Not much has changed except for the espresso I.V. pump she now carries around and the size of her onesie pajamas.
Her first solo novel, a romantic comedy, is due out in early 2015, but first, she thought she’d write a raunchy story with her best friend that would scar her conservative southern family for life.
If you’d like to get in touch with her, she’s easy to find – just keep an ear out for the Rick Astley ringtone that’s dominated her cell phone for ten years.

The minute she began her love affair with reading, she became and avid supporter of the romance genre and has never looked back.
Ella is Australian born and bred but currently resides in Houston, Texas with her husband.
I think all romances should aim to end up as beautiful and genuine as the one Brooke and Ella gave their characters, Ace and Dylan. I loved this book.
Honestly, I think to truly appreciate this love story, you need to reflect on the emotional and trying journey that these two characters have taken to get to this point. From the first page to the last, Ace and Dylan have overcome so much in their lives – both as a couple and as individuals. It has been an incredible adventure and I’m so glad I got to experience it all.
Their final book, Wedlocked gave them (and me) the fairy tale ending that they deserved. (Well… a NSFW erotic version of a fairy tale.) This book was filled with true love, swoon worthy kisses, magical beings who help make dreams come true and some of the most incredible characters to grace the pages of any book.
It was amazing. Absolutely perfect. I couldn’t have asked for more.
It is not all sunshine and roses to get to their happily ever after, Dylan and Ace still had a few more battles to face. This aspect of the story kinda broke my heart (and pissed me right off) but it felt necessary and I’m glad it was in the book. It settled one of the last lose ends that plagued my men, momentarily intensifying their drama but ultimately it allowed them to be able to leave their door wide open for only happiness. Nothing is holding them back from the future they both want.
Beyond the characters and their drama, I thought Wedlocked was well written and paced. I never reached a point where I wanted to set the book down – in fact, I really never want to leave these characters or their world. It’s a place where love – no matter what it looks like – is treasured and respected. It was the perfect place to spend my evening.
So my recommendation is that you don’t miss our meeting Ace and Dylan. They’re the best of the book world we all love to disappear into.
