Dylan Thomas has spent the past decade living in the shadows, mourning the loss of his wife, his best friend, his very reason for breathing. He long ago accepted that he would never feel again, that he was damned to a world without light, without hope. That was the day the bottle won, and he gave himself over to the darkness.
Until the one night that rocked his brittle, crumbling world on its axis. She told him what they shared was simply a distraction, a way to forget for a little while. It would’ve been, except the tiny glimpse of how it feels to live again, to feel again, gives him the strength he needs to pull himself up by his boot straps. But sobriety comes one day at a time, and three years later may be three years too late.
New York Times bestselling author Nicole Edwards launched her professional writing career in July of 2012. Having been an avid reader all of her life and a huge fan of creative writing, it seemed the likely path for her to take. Since then, she has released fifteen books and has no plans to stop. As her full-time career/hobby, Nicole writes steamy contemporary and erotic romances.
Nicole is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author who was born and raised in Texas. Married with three kids and four dogs, she has plenty of interaction to keep her imagination brewing. Her books have been featured in USA Today’s Happy Ever After segment as well as Indie Reader’s best seller list. She has forged her way as an independent author.
Although she has a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, she prefers to be hiding out in her writing cave, talking to the fictional characters that have built up in her head over the years.
When she isn’t writing or plotting her next book (sometimes translated to “playing on Facebook”), Nicole loves to read and spend time with her family and her dogs.

Hmmmm… another opportunity to step into the Club Destiny world?!? Oh hell yes!! I was thrilled to be getting Dylan and Sarah’s story in Distraction.
It felt right for the series to be concluding with Dylan finally finding some solace. Emotionally tortured and barely existing past his grief, Dylan has struggled with his daily life since his wife’s death. He numbed himself alcohol and detached himself from everyone. It was painful to watch.
Enter Sarah. A woman he dated in high school and someone Dylan is strongly attracted to. He wants something more from her but he knows that he just isn’t enough. He needs to find his way. But it takes YEARS.
Sarah has secretly wanted Dylan the entire time. She tried move past him and her own grief but it seems all impossible. How can she move forward when who she wants at her side is unavailable?! She knows that she cannot fix what he is struggling with. He needs to want their life and happiness.
It’s a hot mess of intense sex and painful emotions – I freaking LOVED it! As I read, I found myself excited and giddy every time they got it right and felt happiness. I was all in with this couple. I consumed page after page of their complicated love story.
It’s quite the journey start to finish – they have so much to overcome. I found myself devouring their entire book in one sitting. There was just never a spot where I thought, I can walk away from this couple. I wanted their happily ever after and it felt so satisfying to experience it.
Overall, I cannot recommend this book or any of the books in Nicole’s Club Destiny series enough. I am obsessed with all the characters and their erotic drama – this series has been incredible to experience and I think everyone else should too. Go now!! Get your copy today!
