Skye Warren is the New York Times bestselling author of dark romance such as Wanderlust and Prisoner. Praised as a “true mistress of dark erotica”, her books have been featured in Jezebel, Buzzfeed, USA Today Happily Ever After, Glamour, and Elle Magazine. She makes her home in Texas with her loving family, four dogs, and one evil cat.
Hot damn!! I was dying to get my hands on the second installment in this series. I was completely bewitched and dazzled by the first book – so much so that when it ended it took me days to get over it. I could not wait to have more from Avery and Gabriel.
And I was not disappointed. Skye Warren came back even stronger with The Knight. It was like a one-two punch of never ending drama and my jaw is still on the ground. Her suspenseful and mysterious plot kicks some serious butt and I loved all that she wrote.
It picked up right where the previous book ended. Avery is alone and feeling pretty beat down – but she doesn’t ever freaking give up. Her moxie and resilience is what makes her one of my favorite characters.
But even more than I adore her character, I’m obsessed with her relationship with Gabriel. I’m addicted to their love story and I want them to get their answers as well as a happily ever after. Individually and together they are the most complex and enticing characters I have ever read about. Their world draws you in and you don’t ever want to leave. It’s just spectacular story telling and I love it.
Skye Warren once again left me anticipating what comes next – I cannot wait to read The Castle. It’s probably one of my most anticipated reads this spring. So my recommendation is that you find out why I’m so crazed over this series. Dive into Gabriel and Avery’s world – you definitely will not regret it.
