Holy crap!! I freaking love Monica Murphy’s romances, which is why I never hesitate to purchase her books.  I am addicted to her characters so I was more than a little psyched for her latest love story, Safe Bet to release.  And I wasn’t disappointed, this book left me feeling all kinds of swoony – like I personally just fell in love.

Here’s the deal.  After being caught in a terrible lie, Sydney has to get her life together and figure out how she will survive without her parents footing the bill. She’s desperate and willing to try anything to prove herself.  The perfect opportunity to do so arrives in the form of becoming Drew and Fable’s nanny.

The introduction of Drew and Fable into Sydney’s new life also brings Wade. (You remember him, he’s Fable’s brother’s hot best friend.)  He is also at a turning point in his life and is terrified of making a mistake.  He desperately does not want to let anyone down.  Wade would do just about anything for his mom and for the Callahans.

So individually, they’re a little chaotic but together they just felt right.  It was awesome.  Their chemistry is tantalizing and wicked entertaining.  Even from the first few chapters, I was feeling giddy each time they interacted with one another.   I was overjoyed when a tricky situation ‘forces’ Sydney and Wade together. I loved how their relationship developed and was rooting them on the entire book.

Overall, I definitely recommend that you don’t miss this book.  Because even though some parts of this story were a bit predictable, Sydney and Wade together gave me all the feels.  It’s well written and I thought the author did an incredible  job of mashing up of two of her amazing worlds and their characters – I loved how they all came together.   Honestly, I just had so much fun reading Safe Bet – I adored Wade and Sydney!!
