The universe works in mysterious ways.
Well, it did for me, anyway.
It was like it knew that I needed him.
It put him in my life during a time I honestly thought I couldn’t go on.
He was broken. I was broken.
We only had one thing to offer each other – friendship.
A true, deep, incredible friendship.
Laughter fixed us.
Talking bonded us.
He quickly became my everything.
This is our story.
I can’t promise it’s always perfect.
It might make you laugh.
It might make you cry.
It might even make you love.
It’s us. Besties.

So I wasn’t totally sure what to expect from the latest Jokers Wrath book, Bestie after reading the blurb. I knew that it would be filled with awesome characters and a hella crazy plot because that’s what I’ve come to expect from Bella Jewel but I wasn’t sure who or what this book would truly be about.
What I found was a friend to lovers romance which I thought was an intense but entertaining story.
Fate brings Molly and Roman together at a time when they both just desperately needed someone to be in their corner. They share an instant connection and friendship develops quickly. However, neither one is ready to jump into a new relationship.
And after the first few chapters I kind of expected Molly to be the one who struggled getting over her previous relationship. So I found myself both pleasantly surprised and slightly annoyed that Roman’s ex-girlfriend still had her hooks in him and he was unable to pry them out.
I wanted them to get past their hurdles and find happiness but it wasn’t easy for Roman. It made for an emotional roller coaster ride. Their ups and downs were taxing at times but their struggles felt was realistic and I could appreciate that.
It was a great addition to the series. I love that the Jokers Wrath family is living on through the stories about the biker’s kids because I doubt I’ll ever be ready to let this group go. So I would definitely recommend checking this book out.
