I wasn’t sure what to expect from this new duo. I assumed after reading the previous books that Ren and Brie would have a complicated relationship and love story that I would probably never forget. I also figured it was going to be one freaking crazy book.
But sweet Jesus. Nothing could have prepared me for this story. It’s intense. Sad. Addicting.
Ren and Brie don’t share a twisted past. Their parents do. Their feelings and love are pure… it’s sweet in that innocent first love way. But it doesn’t take long for it to get all kinds of messed up when his family’s past and her current future collide. I
I thought their book, This Isn’t You, Baby was a dark tale of perplexing and troublesome group of characters. It’s an impressive and intriguing story that left me wanting more time with the storyline as well as a happily ever after for Ren and Brie.
It’s obviously not a standalone and hopefully you’ve been reading the series so you’re ready to devour the latest installment. If you haven’t picked up any of these books yet, I highly recommend that you set aside a couple of days to delve into the mass that is the War & Peace series.
