book blurb

Jane isn’t entirely sure that Cinderella got such a raw deal. Sure, she had a rough start, but didn’t she eventually land a prince and a happily-ever-after? Meanwhile, Jane is busy waiting on her demanding, entitled sisters, running her cleaning business, and . . . yep, not a prince in sight. Until a party and a broken shoe incident leave Jane wondering if princes—or at least, a certain deliciously hunky billionaire—maybe do exist.

Except Brock Wellington isn’t anyone’s dream guy. Hell, a prince would never agree to be auctioned off in marriage to the highest bidder. Or act like an arrogant jerk—even if it was just a façade. Now, as Brock is waiting for the auction chopping block, he figures it’s karmic retribution that he’s tempted by a sexy, sassy woman he can’t have. But while they can’t have a fairy-tale ending, maybe they can indulge in a little bit of fantasy . .

my review

5 Stars

If you’re not reading the books from Rachel Van Dyken, than you’re missing out. Not only is she hilarious but she creates the most genuinely likable characters on the book market.  I haven’t purchased a single book from her that I wouldn’t buy for every single person I know.

Her latest release, The Bachelor Auction was beyond incredible. It was a mixture of all my favorite things – mischievous characters, lots of swoon-worthy romance and it was fun as hell to experience.  It’s one of those books I’ll definitely read again and again.

Brock’s grandpa has decided that it’s time for his oldest grandson to be wed. He uses the premise that Brock’s family business needs him in a relationship to prove his stability.  Or else  the board might not feel comfortable leaving it to Brock. So Grandpa sets up an elaborate auction to essentially marry off Brock to the highest bidder.

But he’s not done meddling there which is how Jane enters the picture.  In this modern day Cinderella story, she ends up briefly meeting Brock and then ends up as his house keeper.  Well… she actually ends up being much, much more but you want to experience all the sexy details surrounding the more for yourself.

I adored the main couple – they are amazing!!  I was completely captivated start to finish.  But the best part about this book is that all of the sub-characters are just as incredible.  I desperately want all of their stories, too.

So my recommendation is to purchase The Bachelor Auction.  It’s a must read romance!
