book blurb

Bridger Payne is an enigma that no one can figure out. Wise beyond his years, eerily intuitive and sexy as hell, every woman in The Silo wants him.

None can have him.

Not the real man, anyway.

He might wield the lash for you if you ask prettily, but he’ll get no gratification from it. He’ll definitely make you scream, but he won’t think twice about you when he walks away.

Bridger carries the darkest of secrets He’s filled with too much pain.

He’s utterly untouchable.

Until she came along.

** Warning: this book has sex in it. Lots of sex. Dirty sex. The Wicked Horse Series is a bit different than what Sawyer Bennett normally writes. While you’ll still enjoy fabulous characters, a suspenseful story, some witty banter and an epic romance, there’s just… a lot of sex. You’ve been warned. **

my review

5 Stars

I have been patiently waiting for this book, Wicked Bond for what feels like FOREVER. Thank goodness it’s finally here!!

Bridger has been the backbone to the entire Wicked Horse series.  He’s genuinely a good man who has shown his loyalty and dedication to his friends throughout all of their problems.  But he’s sort of an enigma because even though he is highly desired sexually, Bridger always keeps himself sort of separate.  To me, he has always come across as slightly lonely.

So because of all of that, I wanted to learn this man’s truths and to meet the woman who would make him want more. I was desperate to experience him finding happiness and solace in his life.

His opportunity at loves comes into his life like an unexpected hurricane when Maggie is dropped on his door step beaten and desperate. Bridger helps her without asking too many questions but eventually he finds out that she’s hiding something from a very bad group of people and they want to find her to get at it.

They have no reason to trust one another but a bond forms between them. Through her recovery a friendship and connection blossoms.  Sexual chemistry simmers between the two, waiting to be unleashed.  It’s AWESOME.

Beyond Maggie’s drama, these two have some pretty large emotional hurdles to overcome.  Bridger believes that he is incapable of a true intimate relationship thanks to his past.  It took Maggie being forced upon Bridger for him to open his eyes and see new possibilities.  Your heart goes out to both of them as they work through their issues.

Bridger and Maggie’s romance has danger, suspense and drama.  It was so entertaining and enticing – I didn’t want to leave their world to take care my real life responsibilities.  To say I loved this book is putting it mildly. Bridger and Maggie’s tale in Wicked Bond was my book nirvana.  Sawyer Bennett gave me absolute romance perfection.

I highly suggest everyone read the Wicked Horse series but if I could only make you read one, Wicked Bond would be my top recommendation.
