His body is chiseled from rock, sculpted by the weight room, and refined by water.
On a daily basis his skin is completely bare for everyone to see, tan and defined, only covered up by a minuscule piece of spandex. There is no denying his sex appeal.
I hate to admit it, but I’m head over heels infatuated with him.
There is one HUGE problem though. His achingly gorgeous abs, inked up arm, and cocky swagger belong to my boss, the high-profile, reality star bitch from hell and certified heinous human being, Bellini Chambers.
What I think is going to be an easy job assisting a glorified wench turns into a cluster f*ck of epic proportions.
Win A Signed STROKED paperback
Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
If I wasn’t already excited for this summer’s Olympics, Meghan Quinn’s new release would totally have done it. Her book made me feel alive. Competitive. And most of all, romanced. I freaking loved Stroked!
I’m not sure who I want to focus on first, Reese or Paisley. I couldn’t get enough of this duo. They were charismatic and fun – I was absolutely charmed by both of them. Their story is definitely fun and entertaining.
So Reese. Oh my Reese. This swimmer is sex on a stick and you will be completely enticed by his whole persona. This will be his last Olympics and his final chance at winning gold (he’s won a bunch of silver medals). Not only does he need this for himself but also for future possibilities. Without it – his potential career choices are unclear and slightly chaotic.
Reese’s drive for gold is coupled with the drama of his current “girl friend” Bellini. She is freaking awful. Beyond awful. But Reese has been told that their relationship is good for his image and making him even more well known even if it’s completely fake and driving him nuts.
Enter Paisley into the mix. She is stuck as the personal assistant for the reality star because of error she made at her last job. She’s bright, funny and a hard worker – so when she has to constantly bite her tongue and ignore her feelings for Reese, I hated Bellini even more for her. (I seriously wanted to shove Bellini in the pool)
Anyway, Reese and Paisley pursue all the lust and feelings they have one another. It’s amazing. And complicated. I devoured every stolen moment and kisses. I was consumed by their passion and my heart hurt when they struggled. So even though their journey toward happily ever after is bumpy and full of hurdles, I loved every minute of it.
Stroked is crazy, good reading and I highly recommend it.
