S.I.N. Series (Book 2)
Release Date: July 12, 2016
The S.I.N. series continues with the seductive follow-up to the Stark International Novel Dirtiest Secret, from the New York Times bestselling author of “red-hot and angsty” fiction that “keeps readers guessing” (Publishers Weekly, on Under My Skin).
No one can know about our love—and hiding only makes it hotter.
Dallas Sykes has a reputation. He is known for his parties, his money, and the countless women on his arm. Yet the Dallas I know is a different man—darker, smarter, and unbearably sexy. Just one look from him can leave me breathless; the anticipation of his touch can make me lose control.
Inextricably bound by our past, we keep each other’s secrets. And while there are people who have the power to hurt us, it’s the truth that threatens us most of all.
Dallas can be mine only behind closed doors, our passion as searing as it is forbidden. Yet nothing in this world has ever felt so desperately, deliciously right.
Hottest Mess is intended for mature audiences.
Kenner (aka Julie Kenner) is the New York Times, USA Today, Publishers Weekly, Wall Street Journal and International bestselling author of over seventy novels, novellas and short stories in a variety of genres.
Though known primarily for her award-winning and international bestselling erotic romances (including the Stark and Most Wanted series) that have reached as high as #2 on the New York Times bestseller list, JK has been writing full time for over a decade in a variety of genres including paranormal and contemporary romance, “chicklit” suspense, urban fantasy, Victorian-era thrillers (coming soon), and paranormal mommy lit.
Her foray into the latter, Carpe Demon: Adventures of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom by Julie Kenner, has been consistently in development in Hollywood since prior to publication. Most recently, it has been optioned by Warner Brothers Television for development as series on the CW Network with Alloy Entertainment producing.
JK has been praised by Publishers Weekly as an author with a “flair for dialogue and eccentric characterizations” and by RT Bookclub for having “cornered the market on sinfully attractive, dominant antiheroes and the women who swopn for him.” A three time finalist for Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA award, JK took home the first RITA trophy awarded in the category of erotic romance in 2014 for her novel, Claim Me (book 2 of her Stark Trilogy).
Her books have sold well over a million copies and are published in over over twenty countries.
In her previous career as an attorney, JK worked as a clerk on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and practiced primarily civil, entertainment and First Amendment litigation in Los Angeles and Irvine, California, as well as in Austin, Texas. She currently lives in Central Texas, with her husband, two daughters, and two rather spastic cats.
Sweet Jesus. Hottest Mess picks right back up in the middle of chaos. Seriously. It’s one hot freaking mess. Prepare yourself for all kinds of jaw dropping goodness.
Quick recap. Dallas and Jane are in love but a future together will be difficult and any version of happily ever after might not ever truly be an option. Plus they are plagued with complicated issues. They’re battling through 17 years of lies to find out who kidnapped them, working with Dallas’s secret organization and wondering what will happen if their parents (and the general public) find out about their true feelings. It’s crazy.
But they’re trying. They are desperate to just be together. Desperate to find answers. Their relationship feels doomed but you want them to find solace together. No two people who love each other as fiercely and as passionately as these two do should ever be kept apart.
It all made for awesome reading. I absolutely LOVED it. They mystery and intrigue surrounding Dallas and Jane kept me on my toes and devouring page after page. I cannot wait to have all the secrets revealed and to see what the author has planned for Dallas and Jane.
So if you are not reading the SIN series, I highly recommend you check this couple out. Complex and dark – this set of books is a must read.
