First and Last (Book 2)
Release Date: June 14, 2016
When Emily Wayborn goes home to visit her mom while on hiatus from her hit TV show, she receives a voicemail from her former best friend, Amber. Though the two were once notorious party girls, they haven’t spoken in years. Although the message might sound benign to anyone else, Amber uses a safe word that Emily recognizes, a word they always used to get out of sticky situations during their wild days. And what’s more chilling than the voicemail: it turns out that Amber has gone missing.
Now Emily is on the hunt to find out what happened to Amber, a hunt that leads her to sexy enigmatic billionaire Reeve Sallis, a hotelier known for his shady dealings and play boy reputation. Reeve might have had something to do with Amber’s disappearance, but Emily can’t help the way she reacts to him.
Time is running out and Emily must figure out who she can trust and if she can trust her feelings.
First Touch (Book 1)
My friend loved First Touch and she recommended that I check it out but she had a caveat. She said – wait until the second book is released because you will want to thrash your Kindle when you reach the jaw dropping end to the first installment in Emily and Reeve’s journey.
Even though her suggestion totally peaked my curiosity, I waited. As soon as I had both of the books on my device, I devoured them. The first book killed me. The angst and passion I felt toward the main characters made me curse out loud. I felt furious. Turned on. Sad. When it ended, I switched books in less than ten seconds. My friend was right – I would have been frantic not having the next book.
Moving onto Last Kiss, I felt helpless for the main couple. Chaos hit their budding relationship when a huge hurdle was dropped onto their happiness. I hated it. I really liked Emily and Reeve – I wanted their happily ever after. I wanted everything between them to be genuine and true because I was rooting for them to come out of everything together.
I don’t want to spoil anything but I thought their story is incredible. It’s intense and captivating – I can’t even recommend it enough. The characters are devious and fierce – their lives complex and once you’re in their world, you don’t want to leave. It is awesome.
I absolutely suggest that you pick both of the books in the First and Last series up today, they are a must read recommendations from me.
