Rachel Van Dyken
Eagle Elite (Book 7)
Release Date: May 31, 2016
I have lost everything.
Death knocks on my door, I want to answer, but every time I reach for the handle–the promise I made her, brings me back.
So I breathe.
And I allow the anger to boil beneath the surface of a perfectly indifferent facade.
I am broken, I dont want to be fixed.
One last trip to New York, one last chance to redeem a lost part of the mafia family. The Empire is crumbling and it’s my job to fix it, my job to mend the pieces that were scattered over thirty years ago.
The only issue is, the only way to fix, is to do something I swore I’d never do again.
An arranged marriage.
Only this time.
I won’t fall.
Or so help me God, I’ll kill her myself.
My name is Sergio Abandanoto, you think you know my pain, my suffering, my anger, my hate–you have no idea.
I am the mafia.
I am the darkness.
Blood in. No out.

I just finished Empire – my heart is racing and I’m filled with so much love and happiness.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this second book for Sergio. Obviously I read, Elude and I fell right in love along with Sergio and Andi. Their ending absolutely crushed my heart; so I had no clue what to expect or how I would feel as I started his journey with Val.
I should’ve known that Rachael Van Dyken was going to create the perfect woman for Sergio. That their journey would keep me on my toes laughing, swooning, and ducking for cover from stray bullets from pissed off members of the family.
Empire was a spectacular read and I devoured it in one sitting. Every moment my real life interrupted my reading, I felt annoyed and desperately did every task that was required of me as quickly as possible so I could get back to Sergio and Val.
Because my time with them was gut wrenching and exquisite all at the same time – I didn’t want to leave their world.
I was consumed by Empire and I’m not sure I could love another mafia crew as much as I do the Eagle Elite. Sergio and Val’s romance made me want to go back to the start and revisit every moment in this series all over again. Now, I can’t wait to do that and see what comes next with Dante’s story in Enrage.
All the books in the Eagle Elite series are must read, top recommendations from me.
