From the New York Times bestselling author of such “racy, sizzling Stark novels” (RT Book Reviews) as Release Me and Say My Name comes a Stark International Novel featuring provocative bad boy Dallas Sykes—the first in a new trilogy in the S.I.N. series.
It was wrong for us to be together, but it was even harder to be apart.
The memory of Dallas Sykes burns inside of me.
Everyone knows him as a notorious playboy, a man for whom women and money are no object. But to me, he’s still the one man I desperately crave—yet the one I can never have.
Dallas knows me better than anyone else. We bear the same scars, the same darkness in our past. I thought I could move on by staying away, but now that we’re drawn together once more, I can’t fight the force of our attraction or the temptation to make him mine.
We’ve tried to maintain control, not letting ourselves give in to desire. And for so long we’ve told ourselves no—but now it’s finally time to say yes.
Dirtiest Secret is intended for mature audiences.
Kenner (aka Julie Kenner) is the New York Times, USA Today, Publishers Weekly, Wall Street Journal and International bestselling author of over seventy novels, novellas and short stories in a variety of genres.
Though known primarily for her award-winning and international bestselling erotic romances (including the Stark and Most Wanted series) that have reached as high as #2 on the New York Times bestseller list, JK has been writing full time for over a decade in a variety of genres including paranormal and contemporary romance, “chicklit” suspense, urban fantasy, Victorian-era thrillers (coming soon), and paranormal mommy lit.
Her foray into the latter, Carpe Demon: Adventures of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom by Julie Kenner, has been consistently in development in Hollywood since prior to publication. Most recently, it has been optioned by Warner Brothers Television for development as series on the CW Network with Alloy Entertainment producing.
JK has been praised by Publishers Weekly as an author with a “flair for dialogue and eccentric characterizations” and by RT Bookclub for having “cornered the market on sinfully attractive, dominant antiheroes and the women who swopn for him.” A three time finalist for Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA award, JK took home the first RITA trophy awarded in the category of erotic romance in 2014 for her novel, Claim Me (book 2 of her Stark Trilogy).
Her books have sold well over a million copies and are published in over over twenty countries.
In her previous career as an attorney, JK worked as a clerk on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and practiced primarily civil, entertainment and First Amendment litigation in Los Angeles and Irvine, California, as well as in Austin, Texas. She currently lives in Central Texas, with her husband, two daughters, and two rather spastic cats.
Holy hot mess – I feel like I’ve been sucked down into another J. Kenner vortex of lies and lust. Dirtiest Secret’s plot was filled with a taboo love story and a suspenseful sub plot that leaves you feel desperate for the next installment in the S.I.N series.
And I am absolutely loving it.
The dynamic in the Sykes family was complicated and weird but it some how worked and was understandable. Except for one major aspect – the relationship between Dallas and Jane. Thrown together as children, they were the closest of friends – soul mates. They have absolutely no blood connections but technically by law, they are siblings.
However the older they got, the more they fell in love – it could not be helped or avoided. That is until they had the unspeakable happened to them and it changed everything.
Years later, fate (or someone despicable) unknowingly pushed them back together and even though they are trying to stay away from each other – it is impossible to ignore a connection like these two share. It’s also impossible to ignore all the secrets they have from one another.
It all makes for an incredible reading experience.
I loved this book. The excitement and tension seeping from the pages kept me wondering at every turn how the author was going to make this forbidden love acceptable and if Dallas and Jane would ever get their happily ever after they deserve. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Definitely start this new series today!
