Thomas and Tessa couldn’t be more different. However, sexual chemistry doesn’t care about what income bracket or what career two people choice – if it’s there, it’s there. And these two have it in spades – wooziers. It’s intense and intoxicating.
Their relationship moves at hyper speed from insta-lust to being practically moved in with one another. It crazy at which the swiftness of the relationship goes so I was not completely surprised when they hit a pothole and bottom out.
However, I enjoyed how the author worked their issues out and resolved the underlying conflicts between Thomas and Tessa. I liked that both characters in this book kind of had quirky personalities. They had quickly endeared themselves to me and I was almost immediately felt invested in their story. It felt real and I was rooting for them (and Melon!!) the entire time I was reading.
Overall, I really liked Rescued. It was my first book from Phoebe Rose and it probably won’t be my last because she writes engaging and entertaining characters – I definitely recommend that you take the time to meet Thomas and Tessa.
