Lauren Layne brings all the unpredictable heat of her USA Today bestseller Blurred Lines to an all-new cast of characters! Country music’s favorite good girl is hiding away from the world—only to find herself bunking with a guy who makes her want to be a little bad.
Jenny Dawson moved to Nashville to write music, not get famous. But when her latest record goes double platinum, Jenny’s suddenly one of the town’s biggest stars—and the center of a tabloid scandal connecting her with a pop star she’s barely even met. With paparazzi tracking her every move, Jenny flees to a remote mansion in Louisiana to write her next album. The only hiccup is the unexpected presence of a brooding young caretaker named Noah, whose foul mouth and snap judgments lead to constant bickering—and serious heat.
Noah really should tell Jenny that he’s Preston Noah Maxwell Walcott, the owner of the estate where the feisty country singer has made her spoiled self at home. But the charade gives Noah a much-needed break from his own troubles, and before long, their verbal sparring is indistinguishable from foreplay. But as sizzling nights give way to quiet pillow talk, Noah begins to realize that Jenny’s almost as complicated as he is. To fit into each other’s lives, they’ll need the courage to face their problems together—before the outside world catches up to them.

Prior to becoming an author, Lauren worked in e-commerce and web-marketing. In 2011, she and her husband moved from Seattle to New York City, where Lauren decided to pursue a full-time writing career. It took six months to get her first book deal (despite ardent assurances to her husband that it would only take three). Since then, Lauren’s gone on to publish ten books, including the bestselling Stiletto series, with several more on the way in 2015.
Lauren currently lives in Chicago with her husband and spoiled Pomeranian. When not writing, you’ll find her at happy hour, running at a doggedly slow pace, or trying to straighten her naturally curly hair.
Ahhh, I LOVED this book!! The main characters in Good Girl were so freaking engaging and hilarious – I could not get enough of Jenny and Noah. Their book is filled with passion, hijinks, and a captivating romance. It’s definitely one you don’t want to miss out on.
Jenny is embroiled in the middle of a scandal – one that has no basis in reality – so she escapes to the one place she truly felt at peace. Only her sanctuary now has another resident and even though he’s a delicious piece of man candy; he’s keeping Jenny from finding solace because initially he believes everything that he’s read about her and goes out of his way to pester her.
As much as they try to get under the other person’s skin – a deeper connection forms between Noah and Jenny. Their sexual chemistry and slimmering attraction leaves you craving the moments they give into their desires because together, these two are hella hot.
And for as much as they annoy one another, they truly become friends and much, much more. There is only one small problem – Noah lied to Jenny and there is never the right moment to tell the truth. Then the closer they get, it feels like too much time has passed to come clean. It creates a slow build up toward a conflict you hope as a reader they can over come.
Even though you know that ultimately they will end up back together, it’s written in a way that your heart breaks when the truth is unleashed. It leaves you feeling anxious – this couple has endeared themselves to you and you want their happily ever after moment not their heartache.
Good Girl was everything I love about romances from Lauren Layne. This author made me laugh, swoon and pant all in one book – it’s truly awesome. I absolutely recommend Good Girl, it will leave you smiling and seeking out other characters from Lauren’s Love Unexpectedly series.
