But some lifetimes are shorter…
We couldn’t have known it would work out this way. No one could. No one could’ve guessed that something so beautiful could be so tragic.
But it is tragic.
Yet so, so beautiful.
That’s what sacrifice is—beauty and tragedy.
It’s pain and suffering for something or someone you love.
And this is the ultimate sacrifice.
One stunning act of true love.
This is our story.
Our true love story.
• A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR •
This book is not a romantic fairy tale. Yet, it’s the most romantic story I’ve ever told. It’s a journey of pain and loss, of hope and happiness. It’s both achingly tragic and exquisitely beautiful. It’s a love story. A true love story about real love. The kind that sees you through the night and holds you when you cry. The kind that won’t give up and never lets go. The kind we all dream about and few find. But it’s real. I promise you, it’s real. I’ve seen this kind of love, and I’ve seen this kind of heartbreak. I got to see it up close and personal, and quite honestly, I will never be the same. I hope it changes you as much as it changed me.
This book killed me. Michelle Leighton ripped my heart from my chest, squeezed it as hard as she could and I loved every moment of it. The Empty Jar is one of the best books that I have read this year.
I’ll be honest though – I opened this book several times on my device and closed it before I actually read it. I was nervous. I knew that this author was about to take me on an emotional roller coaster ride and I was terrified to climb on. It’s because I knew – I KNEW – Michelle she was going to crush my heart.
Her latest release, The Empty Jar is all about Nate and Lena. Sweet Jesus. This couple shares the most loving and passionate connection that I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Their love and friendship is what we should all aspire to have in our lives.
I don’t want to give anything about their story away but their story is tragic and their love selfless. Throughout their book, even though I knew the truth, I couldn’t let go of my hope for them. It basically felt like I held my breath while reading – praying for a miracle. My heart demanded one. It was over the top emotional and intense.
The Empty Jar is a love story unlike anything else that I have read lately and I loved it. I highly recommend that everyone take the time to meet this couple. Get your copy today.
