book blurb

They say opposites attract.

In my world that isn’t a good thing.

I did everything I could to escape the motorcycle club I grew up in when I turned twenty-one.

It wasn’t about fear, or betrayal, or even lack of love.

I just needed my own life.

I had to know how it felt to stand on my own two feet without their protection.

Then I met Diesel.

Mysterious, dark, with eyes that screamed to be understood.

From the second I met him, I knew I needed to be in his life.

There’s just one problem – he’s a member of a different motorcycle club.

Two things that should never be combined.

Yet I can’t stay away. No matter how hard he pushes. I can see beyond his mask.

I need to know who he is and I’ll overcome any obstacle to be in his life.

A friendship is born, followed by an epic love.

Our relationship is forbidden.

But I’ll do anything to be in his life.

Anything.

my review5 Stars

I devoured this book – I freaking loved Diesel and Mercedes!!  Their romance was a quick read that completely kept me captivated – I couldn’t put Drifter down.

This pair meet at a concert and boy do the sparks fly.  The passionate encounter makes you realize that nothing will be easy between Diesel and Mercedes but it sure as hell will be engaging and humorous.

So as their two lives become entangled, you are drawn into their world and psyched to be there.  College life is filled with drama.  And even though they share a connection (even though Diesel hates to admit it) and there is a strong under current of lust between them – this isn’t an easy relationship to get going.  You’re highly anticipating the moment that Diesel has enough of his current girl friend and makes Mercedes his.

But it’s so worth the wait.  When they give in to all that they feel – it is awesome.

Drifter has a more of the club drama that plagued the first book in the series and it leaves you wondering who is the big bad acting out behind the scenes.  However, this series about the younger generation doesn’t quite have the edge that their parent’s books did – their lives aren’t quite as rough or gritty.  So as a reader you’re distracted because it feels like a college romance book except it has these moments of MC activity.  Some might fine is upsetting but it didn’t take away from the couple’s story – I really enjoyed these two and all of their chaos.

The best part about Drift was that it merged two of my favorite MC groups together. Honestly, I can’t express to you how excited I am about all of the possible couplings and adventures  – I am just thrilled.  The off spring of my favorite badass couples are entertaining and fun.  Definitely check this series out, Drift is a must read.
