A Storm of Secrets is Shona Perrett’s debut novel, so it was my first book from author. The book’s blurb completely intrigued me and I thought she delivered all that was promised. It’s a suspenseful read and it moves at an intense but fast pace. I thought it was highly enjoyable.
A mystery surrounds Agent Rios – he lost his memory after an accident and is seriously confused as to what is going on. Unsure if he’s a hero or if he’s a murderer, he works hard at solving the secrets of the island. It is kind of a conundrum but one you almost feel desperate to figure out.
I want to keep my review spoiler free so I’m not going to say much more about the plot.
However, I thought this book was an interesting and entertaining read – a little light on the romance factor but solid on the thrills and tension. I really liked the characters and I devoured their story – it never felt predictable. I would definitely recommend people check A Storm of Secrets out and I look forward to reading more from this author.
