The truth is there’ll never be enough time in the world to figure out how to go back.

I can’t deny it’s real because he’s the living, breathing proof my life is out of control.
But the truth is I love him.
The truth is it’s just him and me for the foreseeable future…
Until I met a girl who crossed my heart and changed it all.
Emelia was a bright star in my abandoned sky, and it would take a miracle to keep her there.
I’ll fight for miracles, though, because losing them would mean losing pieces of me.

I loved this book. Pieces of Him called out to all of my inner sappy and romantic must have happily ever after cravings that live in my heart. I was completely captivated by Max and Emelia – I devoured their romance.
Max’s life had never really been easy but he works hard and has finally gotten himself to a place where he felt like everything would be ok. Except life doesn’t really work that way and the rug is completely pulled out from underneath him. He finds himself surrounded by things that he is completely unprepared for and to say it is over-whelming is an understatement.
So just like you’re never given more than you can truly handle, karma puts people in your path just when you need them most. When Emelia moves in next door to Max, it’s like a gift from whomever and it changes him. They form a friendship and eventually fall in love. And it’s one of those romances that leaves you feeling giddy and completely in love.
These two overcome a lot and their story was really well written. The personal growth that they experience individually and as a couple felt real. The connection they share and their sexual chemistry leaps off the page – I felt every moment between Max and Emelia. It was awesome.
Pieces of Him is a sweet and tempting romance that I absolutely suggest you check out. The characters and their world is entertaining because their story is heart-warming and endearing. Definitely read this book.
