book blurb

The New York Times Best Selling author Nashoda Rose is back with the much anticipated story of Kai and London in the Unyielding series.

Kai

There is nothing I care about.

No attachments.

No connections.

Outwardly, I’m a perfect gentleman.

Until my target sees my knife.

I fear nothing, not even death.

In my world, death is considered a privilege.

But my life comes with unbreakable cruel strings and

when I met her, I should’ve walked away.

I didn’t.

I was too selfish.

And that sealed her fate.

Because one week with me led her into the hands of ruin.

London

We all have unique layers that make up who we are.

What makes us vulnerable or strong.

What we fear and what excites us.

But peel back those layers and you’re left naked and exposed.

They did that to me.

Each piece was slowly stripped away then burned.

I merely existed.

But there was one layer they overlooked.

The most important of them all—the tie to one man.

The man responsible for me being this way.

The man who found me.

And the killer who would do anything to protect me.

Perfect Ruin is the dark erotic story of Kai and London.

Their beginning.

And the continuing story of Vault.

my review

5 Stars

Seriously. Wow.  The Unyielding Series is crazy good. I am completely captivated by these characters and highly suggest you start reading their books today.

Let me start off my review by saying that Perfect Ruin is not a standalone – you definitely need to read Perfect Chaos. This book is the continuation of the drama that started in the first book but this time around, we’re looking at things from Kai and London’s perspective.

Quick overview for people that are new to the series. There’s this secret society otherwise known as the Vault. They kidnap children, turn them into deadly mercenaries and then unleash them into the world to do violent things. The books revolve around characters who are involved with or are victims of this group.  It’s a little more complicated than all of that and I know the author does a much better job of explaining – so basically my advice is to just read the books!

Anyway, Kai and London. Kai’s mom is one of the leaders of the group. (She’s all kinds of evil) She sent Kai off as a child to be trained to be a Vault killer and now has him helping run her organization even though he really wants no part of it. His latest mission is to watch after London’s father (a scientist who is developing a drug for the Vault) but all he can really focus on is her.

Kai tries to deny his craving for London but he is completely unable to resist the attraction he feels for her. The two end up spending one incredible week together (HOLY HOTNESS!!) and then everything about their lives goes to hell.

Eventually the two reconnect, helping one another heal and they create this unbreakable bond.  Scene after scene make you feel something different.  All together, it makes for this beautiful love story that shines brightly through a horrible existence.

Overall, I would say Perfect Ruin’s plot is dark… suspenseful.  This isn’t a flowers and romantic dates story.  Even though it actually really messed up situation between this duo, it is an incredible book to read.  It’s definitely one adventure and romance you don’t want to miss out on.

Both books in the Unyielding Series are top recommendations from me.
