What if you found him, the one who was put on this earth for you? He was your perfect partner, your soul mate. Your life with him was more than you could have ever hoped for. The two of you created an amazing family full of so much love.
I did. And it was everything.
Then, one day, I woke up, and he was gone. They were all gone.
I can’t accept it. I’m stuck in a reality that isn’t mine, aching for the life I lost, one that made up the very fabric of my soul.
How do I find my future when my past won’t stop pulling me under? I’m drowning, struggling to breathe in this existence where nothing makes sense. It might be crazy, and I might be as well.
But if you’d experienced the joy of a once-in-a-lifetime love, you’d be chasing memories, too.
Ellie Wade resides in southwest Michigan with her husband, three young children, and two dogs. She has a Master’s degree in education from Eastern Michigan University and is a huge University of Michigan sports fan. She loves the beauty of her home state, especially the lakes and the gorgeous autumn weather. When she is not writing, you will find her reading, snuggled up with her kids, or spending time with family and friends. She loves traveling and exploring new places with her family.
Chasing Memories was one of those books that I couldn’t quite get a handle on – I mean, how could this story possibly play out?!? Chapter after chapter, had me bouncing from Mia’s present to these memories of a life that I wasn’t sure existed. It was captivating, perplexing and awesome all at the same time.
Mia thought that she had her life all figured out. She had all of her personal goals checked off by 24. She had a great job, was engaged to her high school sweetheart, had amazing friendships, and a home straight out of Pottery Barn catalog – it was all exactly as she wanted and planned out. Except Mia did not expect that fate would slam into her and change the course of her life permanently.
When Mia wakes up from a six month long coma, she can no longer accept what her reality once was. She has had this taste of what perfection actually is for her and it looks nothing like her current world. The desperation Mia feels when she leaves the hospital completely pulls you into her drama. Who is this man that fills her dreams??
Chasing Memories was an entertaining romance, one that I truly enjoyed and I thought the way the author ties the storyline together is clever. I liked Mia’s perseverance to achieve the unknown even though everyone thought she was crazy. She knew in her heart what she wanted and followed through even at the cost of everything.
If you’re looking for original love story, definitely check Chasing Memories out. I highly recommend it.
