What can I say about the book, Hard to Fight?!? Besides the fact that it was a fun plot and I freaking loved Raide and Grace’s romance; I thought it was an amazing start to a new series. The couple’s story moves along at a fast pace – entertaining and enticing you with an awesome adventure. Additionally, it did a great job introducing you to new characters and their potential stories.
Raide has popped up here and there throughout other various Bella Jewel books. So I was seriously pumped to get my hands on his story and to find out why he was avoiding the law. I was definitely not disappointed. Raide was badass and seriously hot. His story was worth waiting for.
Hot on the trail of his fine ass is Grace. She is a bounty hunter and Raide is her first big fugitive after five years on the job. I really liked this character; she used her brain and heart to rule her life. Plus she is also completely badass and carried herself with a lively level of sass. You can easily relate to her and she made me laugh out loud several times during the book.
I was consumed by their love story. Their time together is intense and marred by deception – yet their banter and stolen moments of passion left me rooting for them. I felt their connection and wanted them to solve Raide’s problems. I devoured page after page – waiting for the moment I could exhale and they got their happily ever after.
Their journey unfolds well and you are sad when it’s over because Hard to Fight is a great book. I completely recommend you check it out.
