The one man I can’t stay away from is the man I swore to destroy.

I came to Miami determined to reveal the truth behind my brother’s death. Now I’ve discovered that Xavier is the crime king running this city — and I’m going to take him down – if I can keep my hands off him long enough to think straight.

I’m in over my head now, but there’s no going back.

my review

5 Stars

Sweet mother of all things tempting.  I am completely addicted to The Scene series and I am PRAYING that certain people are not who they are be alluded to being.

I thought the follow up installment in The Scene series was much more intense than the first one.  It feels like Nicole is digging deeper and deeper into the mystery that is her brother’s death, only to find out she might not truly want to learn what happened. What should be helping her find peace is creating havoc in her life.

However, that is nothing compared to her confusion about of her connection and attraction to Xavier.  Her brain is telling her one thing but her heart and body are telling it to shut the hell up.  She can’t resist him and when she gives into her lust for him – wooziers – it’s all kinds of erotic hotness.

I am seriously loving the excitement and intrigue of it all.  The second part in the Scene series moved along swiftly and the reader is given a lot more details of Eli’s life and his death.  We’re introduced to a few more characters and it ended on a bit of a terse note.  I’m not sure how all of this is going to play out, but I honestly cannot wait to read it.

I definitely suggest you purchase and read The Scene serial series.
