Roxy Sloane is a romance junkie with a dirty mind. She lives in Los Angeles with her hot ex-military hubby and her two kids. She loves writing sexy, complex stories about pushing the boundaries and risking it all.
Roxy Sloane is an word temptress. No wait – she’s more like a dealer and she has made me a junkie to her product. Her characters and their worlds – sweet Jesus. Addicted doesn’t seem to be a strong enough description to what I feel when I read her various series and I always need more.
The first installment in The Scene was freaking enticing – thanks to the introduction of Nicole to Xavier. Holy hotness. (Plan to have your panties incinerated.) Roxy lures the reader into their lives with each page – curious to know more about them. To learn their secrets and to find out what happened to Nicole’s brother. It is awesome.
The Scene reads quickly and ends with a jaw dropping cliff-hanger that wasn’t surprising but still left me squealing. That’s the power of Roxy’s stories. What should be predictable is entertaining. I love it.
Every time Roxy writes a new serial series, I make myself a promise. Don’t start reading it until all the parts have been released. Save yourself the anxiety and stress of craving something you absolutely cannot get your hands on for weeks.
Then I remember, I’m a junkie and I ignore my promises. I can’t help myself – I love being addicted to her words. The anticipation and excitement of not knowing when I’ll be cut off, makes each scene feel more intense – it’s why everything Roxy Sloane writes is a must read. Definitely check The Scene out.
