Loving on the Edge Novel (Book 7)
Release Date: July 7, 2015
The new Loving on the Edge novel by the New York Times bestselling author of Nothing Between Us and Need You Tonight…
Oakley Easton wants two things: to be a good mom to her daughter and to ditch her less than ideal night job. Hooking up with bad boy drummer Pike Ryland? Not on the agenda. She needs a promotion. Not sex, tattoos and rock ’n’ roll.
Pike isn’t about to let Ms. Prim and Proper shut him down so easily, especially when he stumbles upon Oakley’s sexy night job. She’s only playing a role on those late night calls with strangers, but when he gets her on the line, all bets are off. He won’t stop until that sultry voice is calling his name for real.
But as they move from anonymous fantasies in the dark to the flesh-on-hot-flesh reality of the bedroom, the risk of falling in love becomes all too high. And the safe, quiet world that Oakley’s worked so hard to create is about to be exposed to the one person who could ruin it all.
Though she’ll forever be a New Orleans girl at heart, she now lives in Dallas with her husband and son. If she’s not working on her latest sexy story, you can find her reading, watching reality television, or indulging in her unhealthy addiction to rock
She is the New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the The Loving on the Edge series and other sexy things.
I have read all the books in the Loving on the Edge series. Roni Loren’s seductive characters and their erotic stories have stolen my attention from my every day life countless times. Her latest release, Call on Me was both arousing and romantic – definitely an entertaining addition to the series. I loved it.
Oakley and Pike were some of the most enticing people I have met in a while. (I’m completely sweet on Pike!) Their relationship is filled with spontaneous moments of hilarity, passion and tenderness. Their charm and banter kept me laughing out loud while their chemistry felt electric.
So Pike is one badass rock star that is also gentle and will make your heart swoon – right after he destroys your panties. Holy freaking hotness. The author paired him with Oakley – who seriously might be even more badass than Pike. The problems and challenges that she has overcome – I am in awe. Seriously fabulous freaking characters.
The two are paired together on a project. It brings out versions of themselves that they often keep hidden – Oakley’s ability to sing and Pike’s compassion toward others. They compliment one another and become an almost unstoppable team. It felt like they are well on their way to toward happily ever after but their insecurities and lack of trust cause a few bumps in the road, making their journey a bit more dramatic. It’s awesome.
Honestly, Call on Me might have been my favorite book yet in the series. It hits all the right notes and flows well. I devoured it in one afternoon and recommended it to all my friends. Roni Loren is the master of erotic romance and her latest book is a must read.
