The second installment in the Callahan and McLane series, Bridged was filled with fast-paced, heart pounding drama. You’re reunited with Ava and Mason, this time to chase after a serial killer hell bent on outwitting then until he has finished his mission.
As far as romantic suspense plots go, I thought the criminal in Bridged was interesting and intriguing. You experience his thoughts and emotions – leaving you feeling a strange level of empathy for him. The task force that has been formed to investigate his crimes but has no leads or clues as to who is behind it all. You anticipate the moment the killer makes a mistake and wonder who will survive his mess.
I loved connecting with Ava and Mason again. They have moved forward with their relationship since the conclusion of Vanished. The balance between their careers and home life has created solace for the couple. The chemistry that is their friendship and passion for one another can be felt – clearly their bond has intensified. Their goodness and light balances out all the darkness in their worlds.
Overall I really enjoyed, Bridged. Fans of this duo and Kendra Elliot will be pleased as well as highly entertained. Definitely check this book out.
