I met him before I knew.
I loved him before I knew.
I didn’t know he was my stepbrother when I fell for Bladen. I fell for a mystery guy who I spent a long, amazing weekend with. Then he got up and left me, without even a goodbye. I was nothing more than a bit of fun.
He broke my heart.
I didn’t see him again.
Until my mom and her new husband, Jack, decide to take us all on a family vacation to the lake so I can meet my new stepbrothers for the first time.
I don’t see it coming.
When he gets out of that car, my world stops. My passionate lover is…my stepbrother.
He isn’t the same man. He’s a prick and he makes sure I know it.
I’m not the same woman. I’m in love with him and I very much plan to make sure he knows it.
He won’t make my life easy. I won’t give up.

I seem to be on a bit of a relationship taboo reading kick lately. I cannot get enough of these naughty romances that technically are not wrong but that push the boundaries of what is socially acceptable. They are hot. They are intense. Bella Jewel is the Queen of romantic drama and her latest release, Step-Lover, pushes the limits and leaves you panting – wanting more. I LOVED it!
Right from the start, this book captivates your attention. Swiftly, the author breaks your heart for Aria’s family and then before you’ve caught your breath, you are in the present. A whole new world and it’s full of changes for Aria. Except she cannot move forward – she’s emotionally stuck in the past, both with her family and with her heart romantically.
I loved how this book’s storyline bounces from Blade and Aria’s present to their past. You originally have no idea what occurred between the two characters but the author balances it all so well. You’re never given too much information. Just enough to keep you devouring the book. The author denies you and the couple complete satisfaction – their moments are impulsive and quick. Passionate.
Step-Lover is an amazing new start to a series and I am already anticipating the new book. The characters are alluring and quite amusing. I enjoyed every moment in the book and definitely recommend it.
